FAQ
CAN COMPRESSION GARMENTS PREVENT INJURIES?
While we can’t claim that compression garments directly prevent injuries, many athletes who have worn our compression garments for an extensive time have experienced fewer common injuries, such as: sprains, cramps, muscle strains, soreness, etc. The improved muscle alignment, blood flow and muscle support provided by EC3D sports compression wear all contribute to this experience.
I OFTEN EXPERIENCE MUSCLE CRAMPS WHILE TRAINING: WILL THIS HELP?
Yes: by improving blood flow, toxins responsible for muscle cramps will be filtered out faster. Studies have shown that compression garments reduce lactic acid build-up by 29%.
THE MATERIAL SEEMS THICKER: WON’T I FEEL HOT?
Quite the opposite, in fact! The microfibres used – polypropylene and spandex – retain three times less water than nylon. A dry garment means you’ll feel cool during summer and warm during winter.
WHAT ARE COMPRESSION GARMENTS? Read our article >
Compression garments are designed to help improve performance and reduce recovery time. They improve blood circulation to provide a more effective blood flow to filter toxins from muscles during exercise (lactic acid) and provide better oxygenation to the muscles.
WHICH SIZE SHOULD I TAKE IF MY MEASURES ARE IN 2-3 DIFFERENT SIZES? Measuring every part of the body that is covered by the compression garment is paramount. For example, for a shorts, measure the circumference of the thighs, hips and waist. The greater measure between these three measures should dominate. When the measures overlap, you are at the greatest size of one size and the smallest of another. We recommend you take the larger one. Between each garment size there is 2 to 3 mmHg difference in compression. Which means that even if you opt for a smaller size you will not have too much compression and conversely you will always have enough compression to feel the effects if you take a larger size. Of course, it is always a matter of personal comfort.

Care
To avoid any inconvenience, take care of your EC3D garment. Avoid premature fabric wear resulting from rubbing against equipment placed over the garment. Also ensure that the Velcro elements are closed before washing or storing the garment, otherwise you could damage the fabric.
HOW TO PUT YOUR GARMENT?
Given our garments’ high degree of compression, we advise you to put them on with care. Keep your nails short and well filed, and avoid pulling on the seams when donning them. See the “How to adjust your garment” section for practical tips, which will help you fully appreciate your EC3D garment and enhance your performance.
